Baby Potato Gravy

This is a great side dish for Pulav, Besibellah Bath so also Curd Rice.This is an easy to do gravy


Ingredients
  • Baby Potato - 1/4 kg
  • Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Chilly Powder - 3/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Tomato Puree - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped Onion - 1
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • Butter - 1 tablespoon
  • Jeera - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Mustard - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon (optional)
  • Milk - 1 cup
Method
  • Wash the potatoes and pressure cook for 3 whistles
  • Peel the skin and add garam masala powder, chilly powder and turmeric.Mix well with hand and leave it covered for 20 minutes

  • In a kadai heat butter add mustard seeds first.Let it splutter and then add cumin/jeera seeds
  • Saute onions till translucent and then add tomato puree mixed with little water.Add ginger garlic paste.Also add salt at this stage and heat it for 5 minutes

  • Now add the potatoes coated with masalas and mix well.Leave it for 3 minutes
  • Add sugar followed by milk.Give it a boil
  • Baby Potato Gravy is ready

Note
  • You may skip adding sugar and milk
