I don't think "Tomato Soup" needs an introduction as such
Ingredients

- Well ripped Tomatoes - 1/4 kg
- Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
- Garlic pods - 2 or 3 (crush it )
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Butter - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - as required
- Pepper- as required
- Fresh cream - 2 teaspoon or as required
- Coriander Leaves - little
- Fried Bread pieces - little
Method
- Boil 2 cups of water. Switch off the stove and drop tomatoes into it.Leave it covered for 5 minutes
- Then show the tomatoes under cold running water and peel off the skin
- In a pressure pan heat butter and splutter it with cumin seeds.
- Fry garlic pods for a minute and then add chopped onions.Saute well for around 2-3 minutes
- Now add tomatoes and pour around 1/2 cup of water
- Pressure cook for 1 whistle
- Allow the steam to escape and grind the tomato mixture in a blender / mixer
- Strain it using soup strainer
- While serving top with the items mentioned according to your preference
Note
- Heat the soup for a minute before serving
Variations
- You can also saute and boil fresh green peas and carrot pieces along with garlic and oni
- To attain thickness you can either add 1/2 teaspoon of corn flour mixed with water or 1 teaspoon of rice flour mixed with water and give it a boil
That's a yummy and filling bowl of soup...my favorite
