Mixed Vegetable Paratha Version - 2

This is an exclusive Paratha / Parantha for "Adults / Weight Conscious" individuals.The method of preparing the dough is similar to the Kids Version
But here not even a drop of oil / ghee is added


Even though the ingredients are same as Version - 1 Iam repeating it once more here

Ingredients
Part 1 - Vegetables
  • Methi leaves - 1 bundle 
  • Potato - 2 (medium sized)
  • Carrot - 2 (small sized)
  • Beetroot - 1 (medium sized)
  • Onion - 2 (medium sized)
  • Coriander leaves - little
Chop methi leaves and coriander leaves.Grate the remaining vegetables.See the pic below


Part 2 - Spice Powders and Atta
  • Whole wheat flour / multigrain flour - 1 cup / 200 g + little for dusting
  • Kashmiri chilly powder - 2 teaspoons or more
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin / jeera powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons
Part 3 - Others
  • Water - 1/2 cup or more to knead the dough
Method
Step 1 - Kneading Dough
  • In a mixing bowl take grated vegetables and wheat flour.Put the mentioned spices and salt

  • Mix well with fingers and knead the dough.Use little water if needed

  • Leave this dough atleast for 1/2 hour
Step 2 - Making Parathas / Paranthas
  • Pluck / pinch out equal sized balls from the dough
  • Roll out each and every ball into a thin layer
  • Heat a tawa and put a rolled roti / paratha into it
  • After a minute or so flip it onto the other side.You will notice black spots on the cooked side
  • Cook well on other side also
  • Once done take it out and serve hot with Pickle
