Step 3 - Palak Parathas
Ingredients
- Wheat flour / atta - 1 cup
- Palak - 1 cup (wash palak first and then chop into fine pieces)
- Kashmiri chilly powder - 3/4 teaspoon (this is not spicy)
- Jeera / Cumin powder - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - little
- Ghee - required
- Butter - optional
Method
Step 1 - Palak Puree
- Saute palak pieces with the mentioned spices and salt till the raw smell goes
- Cool and grind it into a puree
Step 2 - Kneading Dough
- Combine this puree with Atta and make into a roti dough.No need to add water
- Let it rest for 20 minutes atleast
Step 3 - Palak Parathas
- Pluck out small balls from the dough
- Heat a tawa and keep it ready
- Meanwhile take a ball and dust with flour.Roll it out using a rolling pin
- Spread ghee over it using a bread knife
- Fold it into two and apply ghee again on the folded layer as shown below
- Once done take it out and serve hot
- Apply ghee / butter before serving
- Serve it with Onion Raitha / Plain Curd
