Step 1 - Cutting potatoes

- Potato - 4 or 5 (depending upon the size)
- Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil - 4 tablespoons
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Curry leaves - little
- Chilly powder - 1 teaspoon or more
- Salt - as needed
Step 1 - Cutting potatoes
- Wash and peel the potatoes
- Cut them into thin slices or strips as shown
Step 2 - Marinating potato slices
- Add turmeric, chilly and salt powders. Mix well with your hand and leave for 10 minutes
- Heat oil in a kadai and crackle mustard and jeera seeds
- Once done add the marinated potato slices and cooked it covered in a medium flame for about 10 minutes
- Open the lid twice (while cooking) and swirl the potatoes
- Make sure it becomes soft
