Simple Onion Raitha

Onion is a great coolant and when combined with curd it enhances the taste as well as the cooling property
It is a popular accompaniment for Vegetable Biriyani

  • Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green chillies - 2 nos (finely chopped)
  • Onion - 3 nos (finely chopped)
  • Salt - 3/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves - little
  • Curd - 1 cup
  • Heat oil in a pan.Splutter mustard seeds.Add green chillies
  • Add chopped onions and saute till the raw smell goes.Put salt while doing so
  • Put chopped coriander leaves and switch off the stove.Let it cool
  • Add whipped curd and mix thoroughly
  • Simple Onion Raitha is ready

Serve with Dum Biriyani, Phulkas and Parathas
