Carrot Coriander Thogayal / Carrot Kothamalli Thogayal

Here is the simple thogayal recipe

Ingredients
Part 1 - Saute 1
  • Grated carrot - 2 cups
  • Chopped onions - 1 cup
  • Oil - 1/2 teaspoon
Part 1 - Saute 2
  • Urad dhal - 1 tablespoon
  • Channa dhal - 1 tablespoon
  • Tamarind - little
  • Red chillies - 4 nos
  • Oil - 1 teaspoon

Part 3 - Others
  • Coriander - 1/2 cup
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
Method
  • Heat 1/2 teaspoon of oil in a kadai.Saute onions with a pinch of salt.Take it out and keep it aside
  • In the same kadai slightly saute carrot with a pinch of salt
  • Put some more oil and fry dired red chillies, channa dhal, urad dhal and tamarind in it
  • Cool the fried items.Grind it along with coriander leaves and little salt.Sprinkle water while grinding
Carrot Coriander Thogayal is ready.It goes well with Barley Curd Bhath, Normal Curd Rice so also with Dosas
