Oats Methi Dosa / Oats Vendhaya Dosai - Adult Version

Again its my own formulation using "Brown Rice, Parboiled Red Rice, Oats, Red Poha and Methi Seeds"
It tastes like Sada Dosai only
It is extremely good for diabetic people and weight watchers.Now look out for the recipe

Ingredients
Part 1 - Soaking
  • Brown rice - 1/2 cup
  • Parboiled red rice - 1/2 cup
  • Urad dhal - 1/2 cup
Part 2 - Soaking
  • Oats - 1 1/2 cups
  • Red poha - 1/4 cup
  • Methi seeds - 2 tablespoon
Part 3 - Others
  • Salt - as needed
  • Oil - to make dosas
Method
Step 1 - Soaking 
  • Wash and soak rice varieties together for 8 hours / overnight
  • Soak urad dhall separately for 8 hours / overnight
  • Soak oats, poha and methi seeds for 1 hour (prior to grinding)
Step 2 - Preparing batter
  • Take soaked urad dhall in a mixer (do not drain water)
  • Grind it to a smooth batter by sprinkling some more water
  • Transfer it into a tall container
  • Now add soaked rice, oats , poha and methi seeds to the mixer.Pour around 1/2 cup of water and grind it to a smooth batter.Do it in batches if necessary 
  • Mix it with urad dhall batter
  • Add salt and mix well thoroughly.Let it ferment for 4 - 6 hours
  • Now batter is ready to make dosas
Step 3 - Dosa / Dosai
  • Take required quantity of dosa batter in a small container / vessel.Dilute it with water if needed
  • Heat a non stick / iron dosa tawa.
  • Pour on a ladle of batter on to the center of tawa and spread the batter in circular motion using the backside of ladle
  • Drizzle 1 teaspoon of oil around the edges of dosa
  • After 2 minutes turn it over and cook on the other side also
  • Once done take it out carefully and serve hot with any chutney / sambar
