Custard Kheer

This kheer / Paysam could be prepared in a jiffy

Ingredients
  • Milk - 4 cups
  • Sugar - 3/4 cups
  • Custard powder (any flavour) - 2 tablespoons
  • Milk maid - 2 tablespoons
Method
  • Dissolve custard powder in 1 cup of warm milk without any lumps
  • Boil remaining milk
  • Lower the flame and add sugar.Let it dissolve well.Keep stirring it continuously to prevent burning
  • Add custard mixed milk and stir for another 5 minutes
  • Switch off the stove and add milk maid.Mix well
  • Serve it chilled
  • Top it with cut fruits if desired
Variations
  • You may dissolve saffron strands in little milk and add it to the kheer
  • Can also add fried cashews and chopped almonds
