Maida Halwa

Ingredients
  • Maida - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1 1/2 - 2 cups
  • Milk maid - 3 tablespoons
  • Ghee - 2 teaspoons + 5 teaspoons + 3 tablespoons
  • Kesari powder - a pinch
  • Cashews - 10 nos

Method
  • Fry cashews in 2 teaspoons of ghee and keep it aside
  • Now fry maida in 5 teaspoons of ghee.Do it for 3 minutes in low flame.Maida should not become brown
  • Take sugar in a vessel and cover it with water (till the sugar gets immersed).Allow the sugar to dissolve and let it form one string consistency
  • Slowly add maida and keep stirring it in medium flame for 5 minutes
  • Now add milk maid and kesari powder dissolved in little milk.Keep stirring for 7 minutes in a low flame
  • Add remaining ghee and stir for some more more time
  • Top it with fried cashews
