This is a Simple Pulav and not at all spicy hence Kid's Friendly.Again learnt it from a TV Show but I added my own touch to it

Step - 1 Basmathi rice preparation
Step - 2 - Masala Paste and Vegetables
It goes well with "Dhal Paneer Subji"

- Basmati rice - 2 cups
- Coconut Milk - 1 1/2 cups
- Water - 11/2 cups
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil / Ghee - 1 tablespoon
- Bayleaf - 1
- Star Anise - 1
- Cardamom - 1
- Cinnamon stick - 1 small piece
- Cloves - 2
- Small onions - 20 nos
- Badam - 5 nos
- Khus Khus (dry roasted) - 1 teaspoon
- Green chilly - 1
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Ginger - 1 small piece
- Peas - 1/4 cup
- Beans - 6 nos (cut it lengthwise)
- Carrot - 1(diced into cubes)
- Potato -1 (diced into cubes)
Part 4 - Others
- Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoons
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fried Bread Cubes - 15 nos
Step - 1 Basmathi rice preparation
- Soak Basmati rice for 15 minutes and drain the same
- In a heavy bottomed kadai / vessel heat oil + ghee.Season with bayleaf, star anise, cardamom, cloves
- Now pour coconut milk and water.Boil it with salt
- Add soaked and drained Basmathi Rice to it.Close the lid and switch off the stove after 12 minutes
- Open the lid after 5 minutes
- Keep this cooked rice aside
Step - 2 - Masala Paste and Vegetables
- Grind the items given under "Masala Paste" and keep it aside
- Pressure cook the Vegetables given under "Part -2" and keep it ready
Step 3 - Pulav
- Heat oil in a heavy bottomed kadai / pan.Saute the Masala Paste till the raw smell goes
- Now add the pre cooked vegetables and salt.Just swirl it once
- Add cooked basmathi rice and mix well using a fork
- Transfer to a serving bowl.Put fried bread pieces just before serving
It goes well with "Dhal Paneer Subji"
