This is a simple mixed poriyal which is very tasty

Ingredients
- Cabbage - 1 no: (medium sized)
- Carrot - 1 no: (medium sized)
- Peas - little (optional)
- Onions - 1 or 2
- Green Chilly - 4 or 5
- Curry leaves - few
- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds / Jeera - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Grated Coconut - 2 tablespoons
Step 1 - Preparation
- Wash the vegetables
- Cut the cabbage into 4 big chunks and grate them using a grater
- Chop carrot inyo small pieces
- Cut onions into small pieces
- Slit green chillies
Step 2 - Seasoning
- Heat oil in a kadai.
- Season with mustard, jeera, curry leaves and green chilly
- Add onions and saute with a pinch of salt
Step 3 - Curry
- Add carrot and peasStir it
- Sprinkle little water.Cover the lid and cook for about 5 minutes till the carrot is 3/4th done
- Open the lid and add grated cabbage
- Put salt and mix well
- Cook it covered for about 7 minutes
- Once done garnish with grated coconut, switch off the stove and mix well
