Yam Fry / Karunai Kizhangu Poriyal

I tagged "Weight Watchers" because only 2 teaspoons of oil is used in this recipe

Ingredients
  • Chopped Yam - 4 cups
  • Red Chilly Powder - 2 teaspoons
  • Salt - 2 teaspoons
  • Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoons
  • Oil - 2 teaspoon
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Hing - 1/2 teaspoon
Method
  • In a bowl take chopped yam.Add salt, red chilly powder and turmeric to it.Mix well
  • Steam it for 5 minutes .It will be half cooked only
  • In a kadai heat oil and splutter mustard seeds, hing and curry leaves.Also add a pinch of turmeric
  • Now transfer the steamed curry and swirl it 
  • Wait it is completely cooked

Serve it with Lemon Rice, Vathakuzhambu Saadham
