Beans Masiyal

I wanted to make Beans Parupu Usili last Sunday. While grinding the Dhal in the mixer I forgot to discard the water. So just experimented with it and it turned out well like Masiyal and hence the name.

Ingredients:

Beans - 1/2 kg (cut it into small pieces)
Toor Dhal - 1 Laddle
Kadalai Parupu - 1 Laddle
Urud Dhal - Around 2 Tablespoons
Red chilly - 3
Hing - A generous Pinch
Oil - 1 Teaspoon (You can even add more but right now Iam watching out my calories)
Mustard - 1 Teaspoon
Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoon

Method

Cook the beans in Pressure Cooker for one whistle. You may sprinkle water while cooking
Soak the Dhals separately for 2 hours
Grind it along with water, Hing and Red Chillies.A thick paste will be formed similar to Vadai dough
Pressure cook this paste for 2 whistles
In a Kadai heat oil and add mustard. After it splutters add the dhal paste to it.
After two minutes add cooked beans and salt.Mix well
If you want it to be more spicy you can add 1 Teaspoon of Curry Powder at this point
Beans Parupu Masiyal is ready
It goes as a side dish with Sambar and Rasam
