Panchamirtham Halwa

This is an exclusive halwa made out of 5 fruit's extracts and of course dry fruits also using Cracked Wheat Rava / Dalia as base
One main thing here is "No Sugar / No Ghee / No Artificial Colors".So people under weight management can have this guilt free sweet.While giving to children you can make it ghee

Ingredients
Part 1 - Dalia
  • Dalia / cracked wheat rava - 1 cup
  • Skimmed milk - 4 cups (use full cream milk for children)
Dry roast dalia till the raw smell goes.Cool and grind it

Part 2 -  Puree
  • Dates - 50 g
  • Apple - 1 (peel or unpeeled and cut into small pieces)
  • Pineapple - 5 rings
  • Sapote / Chikoo - 2 (unpeel and scoop the pulp)
Soak dates in warm water for 1/2 hour and grind it in a mixer to a fine paste
Take the other mentioned fruits together in the same mixer and grind it to form a thick puree

Part 3 - Juices
  • Pomegranate juice - extracted from 1 fruit
  • Orange  juice- squeezed out of 1 orange
Part 4 - Dry Fruits / Garnishing
  • Raisins - 10 nos
  • Almonds - 10 nos (finely chopped)
  • Dates - 2 (finely chopped)
  • Apple and pineapple pieces - 1 tablespoon each
Method
Step 1 - Cooking Dalia
  • Boil milk.Pour it over roasted and powdered dalia in a thick bottomed vessel.Mix it well first
  • Now switch on the stove and stir on a slow flame till the milk is absorbed
  • Close the lid and cook for about 15 minutes till dalia is done.Open the lid once in 3 minutes and swirl it
  • Once it is fully cooked it will be slightly pinkish in color

Step  2 - Mixing fruit extracts
  • Now add dates paste and mix well
  • Cook in medium flame for 2 minutes
  • Add the mixed fruit puree and blend well
  • Stir the contents in medium flame.You will be able to feel nice fruit smell and the color will be slightly yellow
  • Now pour in pomegranate juice and mix well
  •  Pour orange juice and stir in simmer flame for 2 minutes.Again the color will change
Step 3 - Garnishing
  • Put raisins and cook for a minute
  • Add chopped dates and almonds one by one.Swirl it once

  • Finally add chopped apple and pineapple pieces
  • Mix it well and switch off the stove
  • Keep stiring for 2 minutes without taking off your hand (even after switching off the stove).Everything will come together
"Hot Panchamirtham Halwa" is ready to serve
